All details for Agasthyakoodam Trekking 2019 Online Booking: No Restriction for Ladies this year

The online booking for Agasthyakoodam trekking will start on 05th January 2019*. Booking can be done by visiting any Akshaya eCentre in Kerala or by visiting the online booking portals.

Agasthyakoodam Trek Booking Charges & Other Details:

The Agasthyakoodam trekking online booking charge is Rs. 1000 per person and a group of max. 10 members can be enrolled in a single booking. Besides the ticket charges, there is a payment gateway fee of Rs. 30 per ticket (for a group of 1-5 members) and Rs. 40 per ticket (for a group of 10 members).

There is no restriction on Ladies for trekking Agashyar Malai Hills in 2019. But there will not be any special considerations for ladies during the trek. And as usual children below 14 years are not allowed for trekking.

Some form of Govt ID (Driving License, Voters ID or any other Govt ID) number is mandatory for booking the tickets. Even for group bookings, you need to enter the Govt ID details for each of the members.

Only 100 persons will be allowed per day to trek Agasthyakoodam. People with good physical strength are advised to trek as this is one of the toughest trek routes in Kerala.
Documents verification will be done at Bonacaud Forest Picket Station at 7.00 AM, on the day of the trek. Printouts of both ticket and registered Govt ID (original) must be submitted for this. A self-signed declaration is also required during the verification process. (For group ticket, only one self-signed declaration is necessary).

Agasthyakoodam peak is situated in the Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. It is an integral part of the Western Ghats towards the southern end of India. Agasthyakoodam is otherwise called as Agastyar Malai or Agastyarkoodam. It is believed that sage Agasthya meditated on the mountain, which resulted in its name.
Agasthyaramkoodam trek is one of the toughest trek routes after Meesapulimala in Kerala. The trek trail is about 20-28 km on one side and a total of 40-56 km on both sides.
