Vazhani Dam – Tourist Places in Thrissur
Highlights
Vazhani Dam is a clay dam built across the Wadakkancherry river in Thrissur district. Constructed in the year 1962, Vazhani dam is about 16 Kms from Thrissur and is situated on the other side of Vazhani Wildlife Sanctuary.
Though the dam is not big, the view from the dam is spectacular, the reservoir, the mountains, and the forest can also be seen from the dam top. A reasonably good garden is also maintained near the dam. The garden is a great place to spend some time irrespective of age.
There's a food court located within the premises of Vazhani Dam. They serve snacks, tea/coffee, ice cream, juice etc to fellow visitors.

Vazhani is about 16kms from Thrissur and about 90kms from Ernakulam.
